The MiniMed 780G is an advanced automated insulin delivery (AID) system designed for individuals with type 1 diabetes. It features SmartGuard technology, which automatically adjusts insulin delivery and delivers correction boluses every five minutes based on real-time readings from a compatible CGM sensor.
One of its most notable features is Meal Detection technology, which helps compensate for underestimated carb counts or occasional missed meal doses. The system is designed to keep users in their target glucose range for longer periods, particularly overnight, by making constant, micro-adjustments to insulin levels.
